She Liked That Island Too
(Jacob R. McGowen)
[1st Verse]
Born of the state of New Jersey
She never had it real hard
Her father worked in Big Pharma
Her mother was into art
{Pre-Chorus}
Her mother, she would tell her
“Meryl, you can surely succeed
If you’d apply your mind, then
You can achieve all your dreams”
[Chorus]
The devil wore Prada and
(she liked that island too)
Oh, the devil wore Prada and
(she liked that island too)
The devil wore Prada and
(she liked that island too)
The devil wears Prada and
(she loves her wicked crew)
[2nd Chorus]
And she became an actress
And she became a star
Of stage, of TV, of screen and
She won so many awards
{Pre-Chorus}
But people started to doubt her
When she called Harvey her god
And many started to whisper
Of things she did in the dark
[2nd Chorus}
The devil wore Prada and
(she liked that island too)
Oh, the devil wore Prada and
(she liked that island too)
The devil wore Prada and
(she liked that island too)
The devil wears Prada and
(she loves her pizza too)
{Bridge}
And she thinks she can portray and
She thinks that she can mock
The only lion of Judah
Jesus, the son of God
And she thinks she can portray and
She thinks that she can mock
The only lion of Judah
Jesus, the son of God
{Outro}
The Devil wears Prada
(Yet, before her life is through)
She needs to come to Jesus
(And to leave her vile crew)
The Devil wears Prada
(Yet, before her life is through)
She needs to come to Jesus
(And to leave her vile crew)
