1st Verse:
She did it as a little girl
In a small quaint country town
Before she walked her way to school
With her friends walking all around
A chapter, verse, and sometimes more
She treasured that time each day
For what other than the ole Good Book
Could help her start out her days

For that Bible reading brought such healing
Deep down within her soul
And that Bible reading gave her peace
When all else was out of control
And that Bible reading kept her believing
And seeking her Savior’s face
And that Bible reading is what keeps her
Enduring still here today

She did it down at nursing school
With her sister as her best friend
She did it working until when
She could help all who needed it
She did it when she met a man
That she married from a town named Start
She did it in her life with him
With love and joy in her heart
