In the End, My Friend
By: Jacob McGowen
I see your horns and tail
I see your wicked grin
And I do not believe
The evil lies that you do spin
I see your true ambition
And the passions that you crave
That you’re just an empty vessel
Who sold his soul for power and fame
And you’re not so great yourself
While you may have gained
Some power and wealth
Your friends and homes won’t save
You in the end, my friend
You want to change what’s fine and works
To do a switch, then a grand reverse
While once hidden, we have
Caught on to your plans
You and your friends set your own deadline
You want to crush us and rule our lives
Yet, you never build, you always just destroy
And you’re not so great yourself
While you may have gained
Some power and wealth
Your friends and homes won’t save
You in the end, my friend
For the one and true Avenger
Hears all His people cry
And He always sees right through
Your fabricated tales and lies
Every secret will be revealed
Every dark deed exposed
Light will defeat the darkness
Truth will drive lies to their home
Your plans and dreams will surely fall
For on Judgement Day, the Lord of all
Will ensure you shall pay for all your sins, my friend
Yes, your plans and dreams will surely fall
When on Judgement Day, the Lord of all
Will ensure you shall pay for all your sins, my friend
