Juvenile and True

Juvenile and True
(Jacob McGowen)

1st Verse:
Whispers echoed in the hallways
Shouts heard from cars on the street
All of those Facebook updates
Have affected me
If I just had better clothing?
If I was on a sports team?
If things were going my way
Would they stop being so mean?

Chorus:
Kids shout out lies
But the Enemy is crueler
When he is ruthless, they are juvenile
So juvenile

REPEAT 2x

2nd Verse:
Cars honking on the highway
The planes that fly week to week
Are filled with those who just complain
As they try to make ends meet
Will I ever be normal?
Or just reach the status quo?
As I fight through all deception
There’s a truth that I must know!

2nd Chorus:
They set a mark, but the Father
He is different
He sees the world and me through divine eyes
And, yes the plan He has for me is sovereign
One not a single hater could deny
That no one could deny

REPEAT 2x

Bridge:
The harshest words and insults
The mountain of demands
No longer do affect me for
On the Solid Rock, I stand!

Outro:
The words of Truth
They trample all deception
They crush the Enemy’s tactic of shame
And, oh how sweet is the glorious redemption
Found in the Name above all other names!
