Our Savior

Our Savior
By: Jacob McGowen

1st Verse:
Monday morning traffic
Coffee shop blues
Trying to take a test
Wond’ring what meds
We should use

For in stormy weather,
Or a bright summer’s day,
The issues stay the same,
And the struggle remains

CHORUS:
The clock it turns!
The sun it burns!
And as we face another day,
We work, we yearn,
And strive to earn
Just a little bit of pay.

Our world’s a mess!
And we confess
That we need things to change!
Oh, how we need a Savior!
Oh, how we need a Savior!

2nd Verse:
Held up, hung over
Late for work again.
Chained by your own mistakes
Wishing all the pain would end.

Yet, you remember
How a long time ago
The Lord of all became a man
And died for the whole world to know

2nd Chorus:
A life that’s new
A joy that fuels
And guides and brings you
Hope and peace
A name that’s great!
A God who saves!
A mighty, awesome Holy King!

That when you fall,
He’ll hear your call!
He’ll meet you on your bended knees!

And He will be your Savior!
For He is our Savior!
And He will be your Savior!
For He is our Savior!
