Never Again
By: Jacob McGowen
Sometimes I am weary
Other times I am strong
Sometimes I wanna climb
A mountain, yet be alone
I count all of my sorrows
I long to be free
And still my heart dwelling deep
Inside of me
Finds it hard to believe
Over and over and over again
I cry to know
The lament of my soul
Over and over and over again
Can I let go
The lament of my soul
A man stands on the corner
With nothing to eat
He speaks of hope, love, and life
Everlasting, for you and for me
He tells me to look upward
He says I am loved
By a father that knows all my troubles
Somehow this is enough
Never, oh, never, oh never again
Will I seek foolish loves
I’m a child of God
Never, oh, never, oh never again
I won’t fear anyone
I’m a child of God
